About Us

Who are we?
PUCHKA is a company founded in Lima – Peru on January 2, 2020. Dedicated to the production and marketing of high-quality vicuña textile products, respecting the ecosystem and the social well-being of the communities of Peru. Led by Yanina Martin Mansilla, an industrial engineer by profession, a Lima businesswoman with a life linked to the textile industry, with more than 20 years of experience in the field, honoring the memory of her ancestors, in this case her mother, originally from the city of Huancayo – Peru. PUCHKA is a spinning instrument that is used to twist the fibers of vicuña wool or other camelids and that is part of an ancestral skill of the Andean communities of Peru. It is there where we want, through this wonderful and delicate practice, to elevate the work of these communities, through a quality product in the eyes of the world. It was born from the dream of fulfilling the promises made to our ancestors, in this case to my mother Frida, who woke up one morning and asked me to bring her her balls of yarn. However, she asked me a question: “Yani, where is my Puchka?”, worried because it was her daily activity and it filled her with joy, physical and mental energy. At that moment, thanks to her, I found the name to baptize the company. Part of that promise was to create a company not only to market clothing, but to spread Peruvian culture, vicuña wool fiber, and to provide shelter to people from different countries.

Vision
To be recognized as a leading textile company in the market, promoting the responsible consumption of vicuña wool, elevating it to a cultural expression and social responsibility. Likewise, to be a company recognized for the promotion of Peruvian culture, where our clothing is the image of commitment and responsible work with triple impact: perceived quality, sustainability and work with communities. Positioning ourselves in the international market, placing a PUCHKA headquarters in each country where our products are the brand ambassadors.

Mission
To provide our customers with a premium quality product, highlighting the work of the communities that work and protect the vicuñas of Peru. We also offer high-quality tailor-made garments and weaving services, using natural fibers, giving our customers the opportunity to create garments with social and environmental responsibility and contribute to the conservation and promotion of the ancient and ancestral Peruvian legacy, through its traditions and the textile industry.
